Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to cover a patch in the East Midlands. You will be out on the road, prospecting new business and building a direct pipeline from scratch, then guiding opportunities through to close with support from a CRM system.

The role offers a £28,000 basic salary plus an industry-leading uncapped commission and a company car. Working Monday to Friday, 9-5, field-based with occasional office meetings and a full UK driving licence is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field sales experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline.
• Comfort with rejection and persistence.
• Able to work to targets and deadlines.

A well-established, family-run waste management business is on the hunt for a tenacious BDM to join their growing sales team, covering a patch in the East Midlands.

This isn't a role for the faint-hearted. You'll be out on the road, door-knocking, cold-calling, and building your own pipeline from scratch, then nurturing it through their shiny new CRM system. If you thrive on the thrill of the chase and don't take rejection personally, keep reading.

What you'll be doing:

• Hunting down new business through cold calls and door knocks
• Smashing (and re-smashing) monthly targets, managing your own pipeline
• Becoming the go-to link between your customers and the internal team
• Keeping the CRM sharp and up to date
• Mucking in to support the wider sales team when needed

What they're looking for:

• Sales experience in waste management is a big plus, but a proven track record of selling contracted services and hitting targets matters more
• Thick skin, you'll get told no, and you'll need to be fine with that
• Social media savvy, if prospecting online isn't already second nature, it needs to be
• Confident, articulate, and politely persistent, the kind of person who builds rapport without even trying
• A team player with a genuine "can do" attitude and the drive to go the extra mile
