Business Development Manager

Your Location: Home based, UK (preferably with close links to major population centres and the motorway network) – Birmingham, London, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Oxford, Bristol, Cambridge – B1 1QU

Salary and benefits: £50,000 basic salary, OTE Car Allowance

A well-established Sales Training and Consultancy provider, working with clients in over 50 countries, is looking for experienced sales professionals to join the team. The training and services sold are built around an organisation’s specific needs, with experts on the ground ensuring effective implementation. We are currently recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Consultant focused on New Business development.

In your day-to-day role, you will:

  1. Generate, sell, negotiate, close, and secure new business opportunities to achieve monthly revenue targets.
  2. Conduct meetings remotely and face-to-face with clients across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
  3. Manage, maintain, and develop a pipeline of opportunities.
  4. Build strong relationships with prospective clients.

Skills you might have:

  1. Proven B2B sales background (preferably within a sector such as Training, Education, Professional Services, or Manufacturing).
  2. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to command respect among senior decision-makers.
  3. Enthusiasm, drive, and excellent communication skills.
  4. Commercially astute and competitive.
  5. Confident and proactive personality.
  6. Computer literate with proficiency in internal systems and MS Office suite.
  7. Ability to recognize and demonstrate the benefits of formal sales training.

This role is suitable for individuals currently working as Business Development Managers, Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Account Managers, or New Business Sales professionals, living within a commutable distance of Birmingham, London, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Oxford, Bristol, Cambridge – B1 1QU, or willing to relocate.
