Job summary

MetaGedu Apprenticeships in Birmingham is seeking a driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to grow our employer network and create new apprenticeship opportunities. You will identify prospects, engage decision-makers, and qualify leads for the team, while hitting KPIs and expanding our market reach.

This on-site role offers competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and full sales training, with clear progression into senior BD roles within a fast-growing education provider.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident, proactive and resilient attitude.
• Strong ambition to build a career in sales or business development.
• Previous B2B sales or recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable speaking to senior decision-makers.
• Organised, self-motivated and target-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
• Identify and engage employers who could benefit from apprenticeship programmes.
• Qualify leads and book meetings for the Business Development team.
• Understand employer challenges around recruitment, upskilling, and workforce development.
• Promote MetaGedu’s apprenticeship solutions tailored to employer needs.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate pipeline activity.
• Work collaboratively with marketing and operations to improve lead generation strategies.
• Consistently achieve KPIs for outreach, meetings booked, and opportunities created.
• Stay informed on apprenticeship funding, levy changes, and market trends.
