Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK is seeking a Business Development Executive in Belfast to grow our customer base and deepen relationships with both new and existing clients. You will present our full range of building materials, understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.

In this customer-facing role, you will work across field-based and office-based sales, maintaining records, leveraging CRM systems, and ensuring credit terms are followed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role.
  • Good knowledge of building materials and the construction market.
  • Willingness to work across both field-based and office-based sales.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety practices.
  • A strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Confidence using IT systems such as CRM platforms, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, including face-to-face, phone and written communication.

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities across our full range of products.
  • Prepare clear and accurate quotations that meet customer needs.
  • Negotiate solutions that work for both the customer and the business.
  • Keep customer records up to date and use them to support effective sales activity.
  • Share information with colleagues to maximise opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Ensure customer accounts are managed in line with agreed credit terms.
  • Keep up to date with market trends and customer demands.
  • Carry out any other duties to support the wider team.

Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional Satudays. Location: JP Corry, 648 Springfield Rd, Belfast BT12 7EH

Role Purpose: The Business Development Executive plays an important role in growing our business by building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. This is a customer-facing role where you will represent our organisation, understand customer needs and help deliver the right solutions. What will I be doing?
