Job Description:

I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and a track record of growth. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance international team. You will be supported by a respected commercial team and industry-leading clinical experts, joining an organization with a collaborative culture.

The role is an individual sales contributor position, primarily remote, focusing on the UK and Western Europe. You will be responsible for acquiring new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotech, and medical device companies across various therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. Success requires a hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales record in the region, selling comprehensive CRO solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets and creating strategies for target markets.
• Prospecting to build a pipeline of opportunities and RFPs from qualified potential clients.
• Using Salesforce to track activities, meetings, opportunities, and updates.
• Leading the sales process for generated and received leads.
• Managing proposal development to align strategy, budget, and timelines with client expectations.
• Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence.
• Providing input to marketing strategies supporting business development.
• Contributing to sales targets, strategies, and plans based on industry knowledge.
• Supporting pre-sales activities and resource securing.
• Engaging with agents and consultants in other regions to expand market reach.
• Collaborating with internal research teams to maximize selling opportunities.
• Attending conferences and trade shows to generate business opportunities.
