Business Development Consultant - Energy and Utilities

Our client is an established, multi-million A£ advanced engineering and services group that delivers complex systems, solutions, products, and technical services to the Energy and Utilities sectors. To support further growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant with a proven track record of selling consulting (professional services) within the UK. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on developing and winning new business primarily based in London/SE, with regional travel when required.

Working from a hybrid basis or directly from the London offices, the Business Development Consultant should have a proven success in direct sales within the UK Energy & Utilities sectors and experience in creating complex services/solutions for clients alongside securing new business opportunities.

We are looking for someone who understands digital/technology services and has a background in consultancy (professional services). This role joins an existing multi-million-pound business that is growing and innovative. You will have full autonomy to shape and develop the role within an established and supportive team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Sell and secure new high-value client accounts.
  2. Develop sales strategies and closure plans for new opportunities.
  3. Achieve personal and team sales targets by supporting and monitoring performance.
  4. Build long-lasting relationships as a trusted advisor up to C-level.
  5. Collaborate across functions to develop compelling service offerings and value propositions.
  6. Coordinate with other regions to expand the UK portfolio presence.

This role is focused on professional market engagement within a growth environment, supported by large teams and proven expertise. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the sales cycle.
