Business Development Consultant
Protection Business Development Consultant

This role requires travel and client visits on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate new business income through acquiring new clients, primarily by converting leads provided by the company, but also through self-generated opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, measured by internal surveys and external measures such as Investors in Customers.
  • Manage relationships with the company's lead generation, customer service teams, and account management personnel within insurers and providers.
  • Negotiate premiums effectively with insurers to secure value outcomes for customers aligned with their requirements.
Experience:
  • Experience in the Financial Services market is essential, with Protection experience also required.
  • Proven success in converting potential customer inquiries.
  • Experience in building relationships with insurers, providers, clients, and account managers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Minimum Cert CII or willingness to study towards it.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Regulation, and Ethics.
  • Proven negotiation skills on behalf of customers to meet targets.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized, able to respond under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Adaptability to change within the business and market.
