Business Development Consultant

Location: London / South East (Remote)

Salary: Negotiable + Car Allowance + Benefits

Hedron Network (Brown & Brown (Europe) Ltd) is growing and developing its team and is looking for an additional Business Development Consultant to join them.

This field-based role involves supporting existing partner brokers to grow their business, ensuring they understand and utilize the network's options effectively. Regular engagement with partner brokers and insurers will be essential to foster a collaborative approach to client insurance placements, additional products, and resources.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  1. Build strong, productive, and consultative relationships with partner brokers, insurers, and teammates.
  2. Support the growth and delivery of broker and business objectives related to client insurance placements, ensuring the right services, products, and support are consistently available.
  3. Assist partner brokers in designing and implementing growth plans using data analysis and MI to drive growth and panel placement.
  4. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with the Development Management team to achieve targets.

Your skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of insurance broker and network operations, with the ability to influence and manage a varied panel of brokers.
  • Working knowledge of insurance providers and products across Commercial, Personal Lines, and Niche areas.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship-building skills, clear and timely communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiation, data analysis, insurance market and product knowledge, IT skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Role synonyms include: Business Development Manager, Insurer Relations Manager, Broker Account Manager, Regional Broker Manager.
