Role Description
In line with our global strategy and purpose, we have an exciting opportunity to join the UK Transformation Programme as a Business Analyst on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract. The role involves shaping and implementing the target operating model for our Commercial business.

The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change through specialised business analysis, change management skills, and a disciplined approach. You will support the Transformation Programme by defining requirements, articulating the need for change, and recommending solutions to maximise value for our customers.

Salary
Circa £46,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our total reward package.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Supporting the scoping of change initiatives within the Business Analysis Framework.
  2. Working with stakeholders at all levels to elicit, define, and manage business requirements with end-to-end traceability.
  3. Ensuring requirements are understood and approved, supporting change control and prioritisation.
  4. Supporting development, testing, user acceptance, and implementation of solutions in collaboration with solution partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  5. Learning from experiences through retrospectives, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills

  • Passionate about the BA role, with experience on change projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst in the General Insurance Claims domain.
  • Ability to elicit comprehensive requirements and achieve stakeholder consensus using various analysis techniques.
  • Solid experience with Agile, creating Epics and User Stories in Confluence and Jira.
  • Good understanding of Use Cases, Value Streams, and Personas.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard modelling techniques including data modelling and BPMN.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels.
  • An agile mindset with a flexible, adaptable approach to priorities.
  • Level education or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or similar qualification.
  • Experience in Commercial General Insurance.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire Claim Center.
  • Experience with defining requirements for system integrations.
