Department: Claims Management

Location: Leeds / North East of England / Remote

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This is a home-based role covering caseloads in the North East of England, so travel in this area is necessary.

Our Opportunity:

Davies is seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join our Casualty team. We value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. The position suits an experienced Casualty Adjuster/investigator looking for a new challenge, who is ambitious and eager to develop their skills and knowledge.

What will your day look like:

  • Liaising with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers
  • Investigating claims in the field or from the desk
  • Gathering evidence and documentation
  • Preparing reports and comments on evidence and liability
  • Assessing policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics
  • Deciding on actions for resolution
  • Negotiating settlements within authority limits
  • Communicating professionally to progress cases
  • Following documented procedures and maintaining reserves
  • Keeping updated on technical changes and participating in training
  • Carrying out reasonable instructions from line managers

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Experience handling Casualty Claims
  • Knowledge of insurance, legal principles, regulations, Civil Procedure Rules, and Claims Portal
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Teamwork, planning, organizational skills, and workload responsibility
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and strong IT skills
