Job Description:

Business Analyst (Billing/Payments)

Hybrid (1 day per week/fortnight onsite)

Location: Surrey

We are currently looking for two experienced Business Analysts for an industry-leading and ambitious financial services company based in Surrey. This role will involve analysis and design on relevant Billing projects, ensuring traceability of outcomes through development, testing, training, and business readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Billing processes and related business and customer experiences.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to analyze customer outcomes, broader MI, and complex business problems. Identify pain points and opportunities, prepare options, collaborate on solutions, and oversee their implementation.
  • Assess the impact of production incidents, analyze and coordinate solutions and remediation.
  • Support detailed design, documentation, and development of Billing processes and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and create features and user stories, ensuring alignment with business requirements and customer needs.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience in the insurance/financial services industry or in a regulated environment, focusing on billing processes or payments platforms.
  • Experience applying as-is and to-be analysis techniques to identify business problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to produce and manage features, epics, and stories with acceptance criteria in Atlassian products, along with other artifacts like data mapping documentation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and meetings.
  • Experience in process analysis and improvement initiatives; certifications such as Lean/Six Sigma are advantageous.
  • SQL skills are preferred but not essential.
  • Skilled in managing relationships with key stakeholders at mid-senior levels.
  • Ability to document changes for handover to operational teams.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and owning solutions.
  • Ability to identify and raise risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Experience applying Scrum and Agile practices.
  • Knowledge of human-centered design tools and techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
