Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Change team. You will lead analysis across technology and operational change projects, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into actionable requirements while working with stakeholders to achieve successful delivery.

The role is predominantly home-based with occasional travel to the office for meetings and workshops.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a Business Analyst delivering transformation across technology and operations.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and translating business needs into clear requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication across all levels.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Proficient in process mapping, gap analyses and impact assessments.
  • Experience in testing support and business readiness for BAU handover.
  • Active contributor to BA and Programme/Project Communities of Practice.

About The Role

As a Business Analyst within our newly formed Enterprise Change team, you’ll help deliver projects that improve how NHS Professionals supports NHS Trusts.

We’re looking for experienced Business Analysts who are proactive, collaborative and ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference.

Location: Predominantly home-based, with occasional travel to the office required for meetings, workshops and other business needs.

About The Candidate

To be successful in this post you will need to demonstrate:

Essential:

  • Proven track record as a Business Analyst delivering transformation across technology and operations.
  • Strong skills in process modelling, requirements definition, and solution design.
  • Confident facilitator of workshops and collaborative sessions, with a constructive and challenging approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across all levels.
  • Skilled in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in benefits tracking, testing support, and business readiness for BAU handover.
  • Active contributor to Business Analysis and Programme/Project Communities of Practice.
  • Proficient user of tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Miro / Mural, Azure DevOps / Asana, JIRA, Confluence, PowerBI etc.

Desirable:

  • BCS or IIBA Business Analysis certification.
  • Experience in NHS, healthcare, or large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to service design, user research, or product management.
  • Understanding of data analysis, data-driven decision-making, and alignment with organisational data strategy.
