Job summary

Line Up Aviation seeks a Business Analyst for a 13-month contract based in Filton, partnering with the engineering community to support workload planning, optimise project performance and drive process improvement. You will help deliver commitments across multiple programmes and improve operational efficiency.

Role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and guidance to the engineering team on business operations and PM best practices, working across the Landing Gear function.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and maintain workload, resource and financial plans for Landing Gear engineering; monitor deviations and realign forecasts.
• Analyse and report KPIs and operational metrics; build dashboards to provide leadership with actionable data.
• Evaluate current processes to identify pain points and support improvements across the Landing Gear engineering team.
• Provide guidance and support to the engineering community on core business operations and project management best practices.

Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Business Analyst on an initial 13-month contract based in Filton. As the Business Analyst, you will partner directly with the engineering community, supporting workload and workforce planning, optimising project and functional performance, and driving continuous process improvement. Working at the intersection of engineering and operational strategy, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of commitments across multiple commercial programmes, helping to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes and support the ongoing development of the engineering function.

Role: Business Analyst

Pay: 42.39 per hour via Umbrella

Location: Filton

Contract: Monday- Friday, 35 Hours per week, 13 months (possible extension)

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and maintain the Landing Gear engineering functions' annual and multi-year workload, resource and financial plans. Monitor deviations, manage change requests and realign forecasts.
• Analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. Build visually intuitive reports and dashboards to provide leadership with accurate and actionable data to make informed business decisions.
• Evaluate existing operational and project management processes to identify pain points and the need for change. Support the definition and implementation of improvements across the Landing Gear engineering team.
• Provide guidance and support to the engineering community on core business operations and project management best practices

Essential Skills

• Solid background in Business Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, Project Controlling, and/or Business Performance Improvement.
• Proven ability to build trust and energy, navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, and translate complex data into actionable management insights.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in modern digital tools, reporting platforms, and data visualisation.
• An autonomous, curious mindset with a track record of challenging standard ways of working to introduce innovative operational solutions
