As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our busy home care business. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will gain valuable experience across a range of business functions while developing your administrative, organisational and communication skills.
No two days are the same, and you will work with different departments to ensure the business operates efficiently and continues to deliver high-quality care services.
Your duties will include:
- Completing administrative audits to ensure company records are accurate, compliant and maintained in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with staff onboarding, including preparing new starter documentation, carrying out compliance checks and ensuring employee files are complete and up to date.
- Supporting the recruitment process by arranging interviews, communicating with candidates and maintaining recruitment records whilst working with the Care Management Team to identify job vacancies and reporting these to the Marketing Coordinator.
- Assisting with company vehicle management, including maintaining vehicle records, scheduling servicing, MOTs and insurance renewals, and monitoring vehicle documentation.
- Supporting the finance function by processing invoices, reconciling receipts, updating financial records and assisting with general bookkeeping tasks.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to client and professional enquiries, directing enquiries to the appropriate team member such as the Registered Manager, Care Management Team or Marketing Coordinator.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records, filing documents and updating internal systems and databases.
- Preparing letters, reports, spreadsheets and other business documents using Microsoft Office applications.
- Supporting the Registered Manager and Care Management Team with a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks and business projects as required.
- Providing general office support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the organisation while developing your knowledge and skills throughout your apprenticeship.
