Sasse Limited are recruiting a Full-time Bus Shunter (General Service Operative) at Blyth Bus Depot. The role supports depot operations, moving buses, fuelling and cleaning duties, and ensures safety and efficiency of fleet handling.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (B category) held for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Move and manoeuvre vehicles within the depot following instructions and park per the plan.
• Maintain cleanliness of buses and facilities including waste removal.
• Perform fuelling tasks.
• Conduct visual checks for damage, report issues, ensure windows are closed before washing.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and site instructions.
• Take on additional GSO duties as required.
• Deliver timely, courteous service on customer sites.

We are currently recruiting for a Full-time GSO Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller at Blyth Bus Depot for Arriva, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.

The Role

As a Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
• Moving and manoeuvre vehicles/ buses within the depot, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness, including bus and facility cleaning, waste removal.
• Performing fuelling tasks.
• Conducting visual checks for any damage, reporting issues, and ensuring all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• The role will also have additional site duties in line with General Service Operative (GSO)
• Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
• Full training and support will be provided by our team, no formal qualifications are needed
• Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
