Job summary

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is seeking a Bus Performance Manager to monitor and improve the franchised bus network across Greater Manchester, working with franchisees and internal teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and customer-focused services.

The role requires strong analysis of KPIs and patronage data, and the ability to coordinate action plans that drive improvements while engaging effectively with stakeholders and elected members.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in public transport sector with KPI, patronage and revenue data analysis.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including elected members.
• Experience on high-profile projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of Greater Manchester's franchised bus network and identify underperformance.
• Collaborate with franchisees and internal teams to support reliable, efficient and customer-focused services.
• Interpret KPI, patronage and revenue data to inform action plans that drive improvement.
• Act as the main TfGM contact between TfGM and each franchise, ensuring issues are understood and addressed.
