Job summary

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is seeking a Bus Performance Manager to oversee the franchised bus network, collaborating with franchisees and internal teams to improve reliability and efficiency for customers across the city-region.

You will monitor on-road, revenue and patronage performance, analyse KPIs, and translate insights into action plans to drive service improvements. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in analysing KPIs, patronage and revenue data.
• Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including elected members.
• Ability to interpret complex contractual requirements; experience on high-profile projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve performance of Greater Manchester’s franchised bus network.
• Identify underperformance and support action plans to drive improvement.
• Act as main point of contact between TfGM and each franchise to ensure issues are understood and resolved.
• Maintain route-level knowledge and translate insights into actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
