Job summary

Stagecoach Peterborough is seeking an experienced vehicle technician to maintain and repair our fleet to DVSA and company safety standards. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, service vehicles, carry out inspections and roadside repairs where needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 PSV/HGV Maintenance or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience with commercial vehicles, automotive, plant, rail or similar environments.
• Confident using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding tools.
• Basic electrical and electronic diagnostic knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing our fleet to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic technology.
• Carrying out servicing, inspections, preventative maintenance and roadside repairs.
• Completing major mechanical work, including engine overhauls and component replacements.
• Sharing knowledge with apprentices and supporting the development of future engineers.
• Working as part of a close-knit depot team where safety and teamwork come first.
