Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust in Chelmsford is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Burns Outpatients and Outreach team. The role focuses on delivering specialist burns care across outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, patients’ homes and our Burns Outreach Bus.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and implement care, with emphasis on wound care, rehabilitation and patient-centred support in a dynamic hospital and community setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor qualification.
• Burns or wound care related training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist burns care across outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, patients’ homes and the Burns Outreach Bus.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care programmes for patients recovering from burn injuries.
• Provide expert wound care, dressing management, scar management and rehabilitation support.
