Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the Adult Burns Ward. The role is Band 5, on a fixed-term 9-month contract, part-time at 30 hours per week with nights and days rotation, based at Broomfield Town, Chelmsford.

You will join a specialist Burns and Plastic Surgery team, delivering patient-centred care and supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in daily operations while upholding high standards of infection prevention and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is required for practicing as a nurse.
• Burns knowledge or a Burns nursing course is preferred.
• NHS experience is desirable and beneficial for this role.

The Adult Burns Ward is excited to welcome a new Staff Nurse to our dedicated and specialist team to cover 9 months of maternity leave. Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive clinical environment.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver a high standard of individualised care, ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity, respect and compassion at all times. You will assess patients’ needs, plan and implement appropriate care, and regularly evaluate outcomes to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained.

Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the coordination and delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will also support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the day-to-day management of the clinical area, helping to maintain excellent standards and promote continuous improvement.

A key part of the role involves maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. You will take an active role in supporting high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and quality care within your clinical area.
