Job summary

Evri is recruiting a Bulk Driver at Exeter for a permanent role. You will operate a provided Volvo lorry, part of a modern fleet, with shifts Monday to Friday, typically starting around 7–8am. Expect 9-hour days, home each night, and a structured schedule focused on safe, timely deliveries.

This position requires a Class 1 driving licence, DCPC training or progress toward it, and solid knowledge of road transport laws to ensure compliant and efficient operations across routes.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence is required.
• Completed DCPC training hours or be working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet, high-spec and comfortable.
• Adhere to organised 45-hour, Mon-Fri schedules with early starts.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily; complete a Defect Report if needed.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
