Job summary

Evri Group in Bournemouth is seeking a Bulk Driver for a permanent role with a 45-hour week and Monday–Friday shifts starting around 7/8am. You will operate a newer Volvo-based fleet, plan routes, and ensure timely loading, unloading and delivery to customers across the network.

You will be responsible for vehicle checks, safety compliance and accurate scanning of consignments as part of a reliable, customer-focused parcel service.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required and DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.
• Commitment to safe, compliant driving and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from Evri's fleet on 45-hour weeks, typically Monday–Friday with shifts from 7/8am.
• Plan routes with minimal stops and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete defect reports when needed.

What You’ll Do

• You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable.
• Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9‑hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well‑organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

• We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you’ll still be home again at the end of every 9‑hour shift.
• You’ll make sure cages, pallets, freight, stayges and yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you – at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
• You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a defect report if necessary.

• Class 1 Driving licence
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them
