Job summary

Hull College is seeking a Work Placement Officer in Building Technologies to arrange and monitor work placements for full-time students. The role involves sourcing learners, pre-screening and supporting pre-interview preparation for all vacancies to ensure high-quality placements.

Working in a team, you will manage an agreed caseload, carry out risk assessments, support tutors, and promote the College’s industry connections to employers and learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in arranging and monitoring work placements.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and placement hours.
• Ability to liaise with employers and support students.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and monitor extended work placements for full-time students.
• Manage a caseload of learners with supervision to timescales and standards.
• Carry out risk assessments and Health and Safety considerations.
• Support tutors in the visiting schedule for all students.
• Assist in recording work placement activities.
• Promote the College’s programmes to employers and learners.
• Attend meetings and report learner progress.
• Maintain auditable records and track learner progress in Pro Monitor.
