Job summary

JLL in London seeks a Mechanical Engineer to operate and troubleshoot building systems and manage a small team of technicians. You will oversee PPM and reactive tasks, ensuring defects are reported via the Landlord helpdesk and that materials are ordered promptly.

The role requires compliance with Health & Safety regulations, recording of statutory inspections (fire, access equipment, water hygiene), and sign-off of Specialist Service Provider worksheets. Expect a professional service mindset.

Qualifications

• C&G Mechanical Qualification.
• Mechanical experience in excess of 3 years.
• Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate all building systems in a competent, effective and efficient manner.
• Complete PPM and reactive tasks and update the system.
• Ensure daily tours are completed and repair or report defects via the Landlord helpdesk.
• Identify materials required and complete internal Materials Request Form.
• Comply with statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Record statutory inspections including fire, access equipment and water hygiene records.
• Ensure Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off and issues escalated to the Technical Manager.
• Maintain high housekeeping in plant areas, workshops, stores and changing/rest areas.
