Job summary

Exchange Street Financial Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to Hampshire to assess claims on properties affected by perils and subsidence. You will review information, perform site visits, and validate policy cover and damage scope.

You will manage the end-to-end claims process, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance with CDM Regs 2015 and Building Regulations while communicating clearly with policyholders and claim handlers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons).
• MRICS qualification preferred (AssocRICS minimum).
• Experience in loss adjusting and subsidence projects is desirable.
• Conversant with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulations and Planning Legislation.

Responsibilities

• Claim Evaluation: review client and claim handler information and conduct site visits to validate policy cover and damage.
• Customer Interaction: communicate with policyholders to gather information and inform them of liability and scope decisions.
• Claim Validation: use company tools to create repair schedules and validate variations requests.
• Project Management: oversee the entire claim process from damage assessment to final report submission.
• Compliance: ensure processes align with company policies and Health & Safety legislation.
• Contractor Management: appoint contractors and provide clear instructions from the outset of the claim.
