Job summary

Exchange Street Claims & Financial Services is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for London, covering the M25 ring, with focus on properties affected by perils and subsidence exposure.

You will evaluate claims on site, liaise with policyholders, oversee the full claim lifecycle from assessment to final report, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations while coordinating specialist contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons) is required.
• MRICS / MCIOB or AssocRICS level qualification preferred.
• Experience in loss adjusting and subsidence projects is advantageous.
• Proficient with CAD and familiar with CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review all information from clients and claim handlers and conduct detailed site visits to validate claims.
• Communicate with policyholders to gather additional information and inform decisions.
• Use company tools to create repair schedules and validate variations under policy terms.
• Oversee the entire claim process from damage assessment to final report submission.
• Ensure processes comply with company policies and Health & Safety legislation.
• Appoint contractors and provide clear instructions at the outset of the claim.
