Job summary

Exchange Street Executive Search is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for Hampshire. You will handle claims related to perils and subsidence experience is welcome.

You will evaluate claims, visit sites, communicate with policyholders, validate variations, and oversee the claim process from damage assessment to final report, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM. MRICS is preferred; a Building Surveying degree is required; familiarity with CAD and relevant

Qualifications

• Relevant technical / Loss adjusting experience is desired.
• Subsidence project management experience preferred.
• Degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons) and MRICS minimum.
• MRICS qualification or AssocRICS.
• Familiar with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulations and Planning Legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Claim Evaluation: Review information from clients and claim handlers and conduct detailed site visits to validate claims for policy cover and scope of damage.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with policyholders to gather additional information and inform them of policy liability and scope decisions.
• Claim Validation: Use company tools to create repair schedules and validate variations requests based on policy terms.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire claim process, from damage assessment, validation, repair scoping / scheduling, fulfilment to final report submission.
• Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety legislation.
• Contractor Management: Appoint relevant contractors and provide clear instructions from the outset of the claim.
