Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons) required.
• MRICS qualification preferred or working towards.
• Subsidence/claims experience desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential.
• Familiarity with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act, building regs and planning laws.

Responsibilities

• Claim evaluation: review information from clients and claim handlers; conduct site visits to validate claims.
• Customer interaction: inform policyholders of liability and scope decisions.
• Claim validation: use tools to create repair schedules and validate variations per policy terms.
• Project management: oversee the claim from assessment to final report.
• Compliance: ensure processes comply with policies and H&S legislation.
• Contractor management: appoint appropriate contractors and issue clear instructions.
