Job summary

Stonewater is seeking a Building Surveyor (Homes Business Partner) to join our Damp and Mould team on a fixed-term contract through to May 2027. The role combines desk work with site visits, diagnosing damp and mould, arranging works and tracking cases to completion across South East locations, with hybrid working from Reading/Surrey.

You will inspect properties, advise on Decent Homes standards, liaise with contractors and internal teams, and ensure safety checks are completed in line with

Qualifications

• HNC level or equivalent in construction, housing, management or property.
• Knowledge of building pathology and ability to diagnose damp and mould.
• Proven experience delivering a maintenance service.
• Good understanding of Decent Homes requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of building components, defects, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, virtually and in person, to diagnose damp, mould and disrepair.
• Order works and track cases to completion with internal teams and contractors.
• Monitor HHSRS actions to ensure properties are safe.
• Travel within the South East and attend meetings as required.
• Record and maintain relevant information with attention to detail.
