Carter Jonas is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy team in Bristol, serving blue-chip clients, private clients, public sector and rural estates. You will manage building surveys, support workload sharing and help grow fees.

The role requires RICS Chartered status, strong consultancy experience in residential and agricultural assets, and the ability to manage multiple projects, produce reports, and coach junior colleagues. A driving license is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a full building surveying service to external clients and in-house teams.
• Support and advise other Building Consultancy team members and assist with workload sharing.
• Carry out Building Surveys of commercial buildings and residential properties.
• Prepare Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiate with clients and professionals.
• Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment, conversion and new build projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies with other disciplines.
• Undertake Principal Designer role for small projects to comply with CDM 2015.
• Provide Party Wall etc Act 1996 services to building and adjoining owners.
• Prepare Schedules of Condition and negotiate with opposing clients’ representatives.

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our growing Building Consultancy team in Bristol operating for a diverse range of clients including blue chip organisations, private clients, public sector and rural estates. As an ambitious and growing business, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can establish themselves and make a significant contribution to developing this business. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in generating fees through the management and development of existing and new clients, whilst contributing towards the achievement of key objectives for the wider team. • Provide a full building surveying service to the external clients of Carter Jonas and in house where required.
• Provide support and advice to other members of the Building Consultancy Department and assist with workload sharing where necessary.
• Carry out Building Surveys of all types of commercial buildings and residential properties.
• Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations and subsequent negotiations with opposing clients and professional representatives.
• Project management, Contract Administration and design for refurbishment, conversion and new build projects for commercial, rural and residential premises.
• Prepare and issue feasibility studies working with other disciplines as necessary.
• Undertake Principal Designer role for small projects where necessary to comply with CDM 2015 for in-house and external clients. Providing professional advice to clients and others as required.
• Provide Party Wall etc Act 1996 service to Building and Adjoining owners.
• Preparation of Schedules of Condition and subsequent negotiations with opposing client’s professional representatives.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be a motivated and ambitious building surveyor, ideally who is RICS Chartered, with experience in a commercial consultancy setting, ideally with experience of advising on residential and agricultural assets as well. You will have an understanding of the local and national markets to support your advice the clients. As an experienced building surveyor, you have the ability to manage multiple projects as well as producing reports across the different sites. You will be excellent at managing clients both internally and externally, with the ability to also support and coach junior members of the team. A driving license is essential for this role.
