Building Surveyor

Location: West London

Salary: £50K - £55K

Sector: Repairs and Maintenance

Daniel Owen is proud to represent a well-known social housing company based in West London, seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing reactive repairs, voids, and damp and mould projects.

Responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to.
2. Managing the commercial aspects of the supply chain to maximize leverage and work seamlessly within the business.
3. Overseeing some team members.
4. Having a firm understanding of Schedule of Rates for Building Works and disrepair building maintenance surveying would be desirable.
5. Previous experience in the social housing or local authority sector.
6. Being a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
7. Taking a proactive approach to work.
8. Proven reliability and punctuality.
9. Holding a valid driving licence and having access to a vehicle.

Key Knowledge:

• Knowledge of social housing, building contractors, and local authority industry.
• IT and Excel literacy.
• HNC or equivalent surveying qualification required.
