Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is assisting a Cheshire-based client to recruit a Building Surveyor to join an established property and surveying team. You will work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, delivering building surveys, condition reports, dilapidations, schedules of condition, maintenance projects and contract administration.

You will perform inspections, prepare specifications and tender documentation, monitor contracts, and liaise with clients, contractors and consultants while

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Surveying, Construction or related discipline
• Previous commercial building surveying or construction experience
• Knowledge of building technology, construction methods and Building Regulations
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
• A full UK driving licence
• RICS membership or willingness to work towards it is desirable
• CSCS or willingness to obtain one is desirable

This is a client-facing role offering exposure tobuilding surveys, condition reports, dilapidations, schedules of condition, maintenance projects and contract administration, with excellent scope for professional development.

The Role

You will support the delivery of commercial building surveying and project work, including:

• Preparation of specifications, reports and tender documentation
• Maintenance and refurbishment projects
• Contract administration and project monitoring
• Reviewing contractor applications, variations and costs

• Ensuring works comply with relevant Building Regulations, legislation and standards
• Maintaining accurate project records and producing high-quality reports

About You

We are looking for someone with:
