Qualifications

• Familiar with contract administration and project delivery.
• Experience with AutoCAD and surveying software; Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Degree/HNC/HND in Building Surveying or related field.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• RICS membership or working towards chartership; CSCS Card advantageous.

The Building Surveyor will:

• Conduct commercial property inspections to assess condition and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintenance schedules for buildings.
• Manage refurbishment and renovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Profile

A successful Building Surveyor should have:

• Good understanding of construction methods, building technology, building regulations and construction legislation.
• Experience within a commercial building surveying or construction environment, including maintenance projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and survey information.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Professional, client-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with contract administration processes and project delivery.
• Experience using AutoCAD (desirable), surveying software and Microsoft Office.
• A Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• RICS membership/working towards chartership and a CSCS Card being advantageous.
