Job summary

Prosper Consulting in London is seeking a Building Surveyor to join a dynamic team delivering a full range of building surveying services to residential and commercial clients across London.

You will support Senior Surveyors in daily operations and contribute to diverse project commissions, including CA duties, insurance reinstatement, planned maintenance, and design/specification work.

Qualifications

• RICS accredited Building Surveying degree (essential).
• Proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (essential).
• Understanding of H&S in construction (essential).
• Sound knowledge of construction and building services (essential).
• Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment (essential).
• Committed to pursuing RICS Chartered status (essential).
• Knowledge/experience of AutoCAD or similar software (advantageous).
• Current full, clean driving licence (advantageous).
• Live within a one-hour commute of the office (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Building Surveyors in day-to-day running of the business.
• Assist with project commissions and client deliverables.
• Contribute to CA duties for projects up to £3.5M.
• Assist with insurance reinstatement projects and planned maintenance surveys.
• Assist with design/specification of maintenance works, condition surveys and defect investigations.
• Support Licence for Alterations and Party Wall matters.
• Support Pre-Acquisition Surveys, Project Management and Employer's Agent roles.
• Assist with Reinstatement Cost Assessments and client relationship management.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Building Surveyors in the day-to-day running of the business, the role will also include assisting with the following project commissions:

• CA duties (project values up to £3.5M)

• Insurance reinstatement projects

• Planned maintenance surveys

• Design and specification of maintenance works

• Condition surveys

• Defect investigation and diagnosis

• Licence for Alterations

• Party Wall matters

• Pre-Acquisition Surveys

• Project Management

• Employer s Agent roles

• Reinstatement Cost Assessments

Other roles include assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible, managing the client relationship and service delivery in conjunction with senior colleagues & managing clients and their expectations, with support from senior colleagues.

Requirements for the Building Surveyor:
