Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover in Solihull is seeking a Building Services Engineer to maintain critical facility systems across the Logistics Operations Centre. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical and building management systems, diagnosing faults and implementing improvements to keep operations safe and efficient.

With a time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) or equivalent, you will bring experience in facilities maintenance and read electrical/mechanical

Qualifications

• Must hold a time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities/building services maintenance and industrial environments.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance on building services and facility systems.
• Diagnose faults on electrical, gas, water, security and building management systems.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Support lean initiatives to improve maintenance processes and ways of working.

As a Building Services Engineer at JLR, you’ll help keep our Logistics Operations Centre running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working with advanced facilities and equipment, you’ll play a vital role in supporting production while developing your skills alongside a highly experienced maintenance team. • Performing planned preventive and corrective maintenance activities across building services and facility systems
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults on essential plant and equipment, including electrical, gas, water, security and building management systems
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns while maintaining high safety, quality and operational standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes and ways of working
• Collaborating with colleagues across the business to help maintain a safe, efficient and reliable working environment
• Holding a recognised time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification, in an electrical, engineering or facilities maintenance discipline
• Demonstrating experience within facilities maintenance, building management or industrial maintenance environments
• Applying expertise in fault diagnosis, planned maintenance and corrective maintenance activities
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics with confidence
• Bringing experience in areas such as electrical fault finding, welding, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, lifting equipment or cranes would be advantageous
