Job summary

JLR is seeking a Maintenance Technical Coach to help shape the future of manufacturing at Jaguar Land Rover. You will work at the forefront of innovation, influencing the design, safety, reliability and performance of new facilities, and help create world-class environments where people, technology and Modern Luxury come together.

You will play a key role in ensuring new production facilities are ready for success from day one, collaborating with engineering teams, vendors and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Time-served maintenance background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices and reliability improvement techniques.
• Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills with data to drive outcomes.
• Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders, building positive relationships.
• Experience with automotive manufacturing facilities and project environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support design, commissioning and buy-off of new production equipment with maintenance considerations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to deliver effective maintenance solutions.
• Contribute to FMEA activities to improve reliability and performance.
• Review maintenance documentation, safety requirements and spare parts strategies before production.
• Build strong working relationships across maintenance, production, safety and engineering teams.

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technical Coach

POSTING END DATE: 06/10/2026

LOCATION: UK - Solihull

If you are a Jaguar, Land Rover or Hourly 2022 colleague you will continue to be administered on your current grading structure with the associated terms and conditions.

If you are currently on BAC or EPMC terms and were hired before 1 April 2023, you will move to Jaguar terms. If you are currently on BAC or EPMC terms and were hired after 1 April 2023, you will move to Hourly 2022 terms and conditions.

As a Maintenance Technical Coach, you’ll help shape the future of manufacturing at JLR before production even begins. Working at the forefront of innovation, you’ll influence the design, safety, reliability and performance of new facilities, helping to create world-class environments where people, technology and Modern Luxury come together.

What To Expect

You’ll play a key role in ensuring new production facilities are ready for success from day one. Working closely with engineering teams, vendors and manufacturing colleagues, you’ll help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and ensure maintenance requirements are built into every stage of development.

• Supporting the design, commissioning and buy-off of new production equipment, ensuring maintenance requirements are considered from the outset
• Participating in equipment procurement activities and collaborating with suppliers to deliver effective maintenance solutions
• Implementing lessons learned and contributing to FMEA activities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance
• Reviewing maintenance documentation, safety requirements and spare parts strategies before equipment enters production
• Building strong working relationships across maintenance, production, safety and engineering teams to achieve shared objectives

What You’ll Need

• Bringing a time-served maintenance background with extensive experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of maintenance practices, performance measures and reliability improvement techniques
• Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and use data to support better outcomes
• Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, while building positive and productive relationships
• Using Microsoft Office applications confidently, with experience of automotive manufacturing facilities and project environments being advantageous
