Job summary

JD Group seeks an experienced operations lead to oversee Kingsway DC maintenance activities in the UK. You will supervise technicians and contractors, allocate work, and uphold health, safety, and service standards. A strong focus on building services knowledge and statutory compliance is essential.

You will monitor performance, maintain asset records in CAFM, support minor projects, and participate in on-call duties to handle out-of-hours incidents. Driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of building services.
• Good fault-finding ability.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance.
• Good communication skills.
• Organised and able to prioritise workload.
• Experience in building maintenance such as Plumbing, Painting & Decorating, Joinery preferred.
• Full driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Allocate work to technicians and contractors.
• Monitor contractor and staff performance and quality.
• Carry out regular building and kit inspections.
• Ensure statutory inspections are completed.
• Support permit-to-work processes.
• Escalate building service issues appropriately.
• Maintain asset records and CAFM information.
• Support projects and minor works.
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate building services activities and minimise disruption.
• Participate in on-call rota, responding to out of hours incidents.
