Job summary

JDSPORTS in Rochdale is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead the operational delivery of maintenance activities at the Kingsway DC building services function. You will supervise technicians and contractors, allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

You will maintain asset records, support projects, and participate in on-call rota, coordinating with stakeholders to minimise disruption while upholding service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of building services and statutory compliance.
• Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with plumbing, decorating, or joinery is beneficial.
• Full driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Allocate work to technicians and contractors.
• Monitor contractor and staff performance and quality.
• Carry out regular building and kit inspections.
• Ensure statutory inspections are completed.
• Support permit-to-work processes.
• Escalate building service issues appropriately.
• Maintain asset records and CAFM information.
• Support projects and minor works.
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to coordinate building services activities and minimise operational disruption
• Participate in on-call rota, responding to out of hours incidents.
