Job summary

JD Sports Fashion is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the operational delivery of maintenance activities at the Kingsway DC. You will supervise technicians and contractors, ensure compliance with safety standards, and oversee planned and reactive maintenance to minimise disruption.

Key responsibilities include allocating work, monitoring performance, conducting inspections, and maintaining asset records. A strong background in building services and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of building services.
• Good fault-finding ability.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance.
• Good communication skills.
• Organised and able to prioritise workload.
• Experience in building maintenance preferable: Plumbing, Painting & Decorating, Joinery.
• Experience in the use and storage of hand tools preferable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Allocate work to technicians and contractors.
• Monitor contractor and staff performance and quality.
• Carry out regular building and kit inspections.
• Ensure statutory inspections are completed.
• Support permit-to-work processes.
• Escalate building service issues appropriately.
• Maintain asset records and CAFM information.
• Support projects and minor works.
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to coordinate building services activities and minimise operational disruption
• Participate in on-call rota, responding to out of hours incidents.
