Job summary

Navartis Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an electrically biased Building Services Manager to lead coordination and delivery of building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover on a major project. You will oversee M&E packages, review designs for buildability and coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and site management, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as Building Services Manager, M&E Manager or Electrical Project Manager within construction.
• Strong electrical background, supported by a relevant qualification.
• Experience working for a main contractor or managing substantial M&E packages.
• Sound understanding of mechanical services and interfaces between disciplines.
• Confident reviewing technical information and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing services through commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage building services packages, ensuring delivery meets programme, quality and budget requirements.
• Review designs for buildability, compliance and coordination with the wider construction works.
• Oversee M&E subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving technical issues.
• Provide electrical expertise throughout procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Work with commercial and project teams to identify risks and manage changes.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across services installations.
• Coordinate commissioning, certification, O&M information and final handover.
