PSR Solutions is currently recruiting a Building Services Manager for major construction projects in Birmingham. You will oversee M&E installation, commissioning and handover, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver on programme, budget and safety requirements.

The role requires proven experience in building services leadership, strong M&E knowledge, and the ability to coordinate contractors and consultants.

Qualifications

Salary: Up to 67,000 per annum + Package

Are you an experienced Building Services Manager looking for an opportunity to work on major construction projects? Our client, a highly respected main contractor with an impressive portfolio of large-scale developments, is looking to appoint a Building Services Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Mechanical & Electrical services on high-value construction projects across Birmingham and the surrounding region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering complex schemes while playing a key role in ensuring M&E packages are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Building Services Manager, you will take ownership of the M&E elements of large construction projects from installation through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients, you will ensure all building services activities are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all Mechanical & Electrical packages throughout project delivery.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed to programme.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and commissioning strategies.
• Chair and attend M&E coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure all building services installations meet required quality standards.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Work closely with commercial and project delivery teams to identify and resolve project issues.
• Manage client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety across all M&E activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager, or Senior Building Services Engineer.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical systems within the construction sector.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or mixed-use projects.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate specialist subcontractors.
• Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Relevant Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction qualification.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning, testing, and project handover processes.
