Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead M&E delivery on high-quality commercial projects in London. This senior role requires taking full ownership of design through to handover, coordinating with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure delivery to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Technical Services Manager, M&E Manager or Building Services Manager.
• Strong experience working for a main contractor.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Experience managing projects from design through to completion.
• Excellent subcontractor management skills.
• Strong communication and client facing ability.
• The confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
• A strong understanding of programme, quality, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Taking full responsibility for the M&E delivery of commercial projects.
• Managing mechanical and electrical subcontractors.
• Leading design and technical coordination meetings.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Managing programme, progress and key M&E milestones.
• Identifying technical issues and driving solutions.
• Monitoring quality of installation and carrying out inspections.
• Managing commissioning, testing and handover.
• Ensuring O&M information and project documentation is completed correctly.
• Working closely with consultants, clients and internal project teams.
• Managing Building Services risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting junior members of the Technical Services team.
