Building Recovery in Community Coordinator

Location: HMP Deerbolt, Barnard Castle, DL12 9BG

Salary: A£24,242 - A£30,790 per annum

Waythrough, launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship, aims to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live valued lives. We address poverty and disadvantage through services in mental health, substance misuse, housing, and related areas, with nearly 200 services across England supported by around 3,500 staff and volunteers, helping approximately 125,000 people annually.

The Role

We are seeking a Building Recovery Coordinator (serving HMYOI Deerbolt as the community) to support service delivery within Reconnected to Health. You will provide 1:1 support to service users who have completed most of their recovery journey, adopting a holistic approach to care to ensure comprehensive wellbeing support. You will also recruit, train, and supervise peer mentors who will assist in group activities, mutual aid, focus groups, and projects.

• Manage a caseload, develop and review recovery plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including family and significant others as appropriate.
• Conduct focus groups and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion through various projects and service promotion.
• Recruit, train, and supervise peer mentors, leveraging lived experience to enhance service delivery.
• Work with partner agencies on assessments, interventions, and progression strategies to support recovery and social integration.
• Facilitate access to treatment and community resources, supporting service users and their families.
• Lead case management activities, including risk assessments, safeguarding, and using online case management systems.
