Eden Brown is recruiting a Building Physics Consultant in London for a hybrid, rolling contract. You will perform dynamic thermal modelling, energy and overheating assessments, and support sustainability strategies across multiple projects.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Building Physics Consultant to join a highly regarded multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established sustainability team delivering building performance and energy modelling services across a diverse portfolio of projects. The consultancy works across sectors including residential, education, healthcare, commercial and public sector developments, providing exposure to a broad range of technically challenging and rewarding schemes.

Offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement and a strong pipeline of projects, this role would suit a consultant looking for a long-term contract opportunity with immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake dynamic thermal modelling using IES VE
• Produce energy and overheating assessments in line with current regulations and planning requirements
• Support the delivery of sustainability and building performance strategies across multiple projects
• Analyse building designs and provide recommendations to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and wider design teams throughout project deliveryAssist with building compliance and sustainability reporting where required

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within Building Physics, Sustainability Consulting or a related discipline
• Strong working knowledge of IES VE
• Experience producing thermal modelling and energy assessments
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and building performance principles
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
