Job summary

Savills is seeking a Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a multi-let commercial office building in Greater London. You will act as the primary contact for occupiers, manage building services, and ensure health and safety compliance.

You will monitor contractors, manage service charges, support sustainability initiatives, and maintain accurate records while delivering high standards of customer service to enhance asset value.

Qualifications

• Excellent tenant relationship management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation abilities.
• Experience managing contractor and service partners.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary day-to-day contact for occupiers, landlords and visitors, delivering high tenant engagement.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and performance of building services (HVAC, lifts, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene).
• Manage and monitor contractors, ensuring services meet contracts, KPIs and statutory requirements.
• Ensure health and safety compliance including risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct inspections to maintain presentation, cleanliness, security and occupier experience.
• Assist with service charge budgets and expenditure, controlling costs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and oversee reactive maintenance to minimise disruption.
• Manage occupier fit-outs, ensuring compliance with landlord requirements.
• Support sustainability, energy management and environmental reporting.
