Job summary

The Crown Estate in London is seeking an experienced Building Manager to lead on-site FM operations for one or more prestigious buildings. You will ensure safety, compliance and high standards of service, while building strong relationships with occupiers and service partners.

You will manage budgets, oversee service delivery KPIs and support lifecycle and sustainability initiatives, contributing to best-in-class occupier experiences across a central London portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading day-to-day FM operations in multi-tenant commercial buildings.
• Strong safety, fire safety and statutory compliance expertise.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and service partners within complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day building operations across hard and soft FM services.
• Champion safety culture and ensure compliance; manage contractors and KPIs.
• Build strong occupier relationships and provide responsive, professional service.
• Oversee inspections, audits and action plans to improve performance.
• Assist with service charge budgets, POs and financial reporting.
• Maintain building systems oversight (M&E, life safety).
• Support occupier fit-outs and lifecycle projects.
• Drive sustainability initiatives towards net zero goals.
• Develop Assistant Building Managers where applicable.
