Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking a Service Manager to lead planned and reactive maintenance on a complex estate in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. This site-based role requires robust technical facilities management experience.

Candidates should hold an HNC in building, civil, mechanical or electrical disciplines, and SMSTS or equivalent. You will manage contractors, review RAMS and safe systems, and maintain CAFM records to drive safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Practical technical experience in building services / hard FM maintenance.
• Background supervising contractors or maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage PPM, reactive repairs, minor works and statutory maintenance.
• Coordinate engineers and contractors, ensuring competence and authorisations.
• Review RAMS and safe systems of work; lead safe operations.
• Monitor contractor output, service KPIs, costs and CAFM records.
• Provide technical advice, handle stakeholder issues and supervise site teams.
• Scope minor works, prepare rough cost estimates and support maintenance plans.
