Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking a Service Manager to oversee maintenance across a Taunton estate. The role combines technical services, compliance, contractor management and customer relationships, with a hands-on, operational leadership focus.

You will be responsible for PPM, reactive repairs and safety compliance, while coordinating works and managing costs. The position is site-based and permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience in hard FM, building services, maintenance or operational service management.
• Strong contractor supervision, customer service and technical compliance knowledge.
• Confident CAFM and IT skills; IOSH/SMSTS and CDM training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, statutory checks and small works.
• Manage subcontractors, maintenance teams and service performance against KPIs.
• Ensure safe systems of work, permits, RAMS and compliance with asbestos, legionella and fire safety requirements.
• Coordinate billable/minor works, relevant CDM duties and temporary works arrangements.
• Monitor costs, service records and asset data via CAFM systems.
• Develop strong relationships with site stakeholders and improve service quality.

HVAC Recruitment is working with an established facilities management provider seeking a Service Manager to oversee planned and reactive building maintenance across a complex estate in Taunton. This is a hands‑on operational leadership role combining technical services, compliance, contractor management and customer relationships.

Responsibilities
