Job summary

JLL is seeking a part-time Building Ambassador at our Derby site (on client Rolls-Royce). You will be the first touchpoint for visitors, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth operations across reception, meeting rooms, and events.

Responsibilities include coordinating room setups, supporting AVIT needs, covering other Derby sites, and driving high tenant satisfaction through proactive service and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent customer service orientation and a genuine helpful attitude.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Calm handling of complaints and difficult situations; escalate when needed.
• Experience in tenant relations, property management or customer service is a plus.
• Immaculate personal presentation and five-star image.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to move heavy or bulky items.
• Experience with visitor management and booking systems preferred.
• Team orientation and willingness to contribute to improvements.
• A keen interest in AVIT and electrical appliances.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact between visitors and the facility.
• Provide exceptional service and address guest questions promptly.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Assist with morning reception during busy periods.
• Set up meeting, conferencing and event spaces to standard.
• Cover other Derby contract sites as needed.
• Complete departmental checklists for service quality and room presentation.
• Assist with other reasonable duties as required.
• Address issues and coordinate with teams for quick resolutions.
• Keep records of complaints and feedback and report to management.
• Record maintenance, IT or health and safety concerns.
• Assist new tenants with building services and local area info.
• Conduct building orientation sessions for new tenants.
• Provide AVIT support for conferences and events.
• Collaborate with vendors to enhance tenant experience through events.
• Provide labour support for ad-hoc after-hours events.
• Seek tenant feedback and implement improvements in operations.
• Analyze feedback and drive continual improvement of efficiency.
