Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is looking for a BSO Receipt and Distributions Supervisor in Belfast. This role requires supervising the Supply Chain operation and overseeing the Receipt & Distribution center. Candidates must have GCSEs in Mathematics and English, relevant experience in procurement and logistics, and strong PC literacy. The position also involves assisting with daily operations and liaising with various stakeholders. A valid UK driving license is required, with considerations for applicants with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification AND 2 A’ Levels OR equivalent Qualification AND 18 months relevant experience supervising staff.
  • 3 years relevant experience supervising staff in a Procurement and Logistics environment.
  • Hold a current full driving licence valid in the UK.

  • Supervise the Supply Chain for stock and non-stock goods.
  • Assist in preparing work schedules for Materials Services Staff.
  • Aid in the day-to-day management of the Receipt and Distribution center.

BSO_Receipt and Distributions Supervisor band 4

To supervise the Electronic Materials Managed (EMM) Supply Chain operation and the Receipt & Distribution (R&D) centre. Assist the R & D Manager in the daily operation of EMM within the Trust. Liaise with Trust staff, external Suppliers, Procurement staff and Logistics staff on a daily basis. Supervision and delegation of duties to Material Services Staff. Knowledge and use of IT Systems is essential. This includes electronic scanners, radio frequency and bar code technology.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Supply Chain for both stock and non -stock goods and equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of work schedules for Materials Services Staff to maximize efficiency in delivery of services to the Trust.
  • To assist in the day to day management of the Receipt and Distribution centre.
  • Use of Finance Procurement and Logistics system and associated hardware and software in the day to day operation of the EMM function.
  • Maintenance of the general stores environment to a standard commensurate with Good working practice and legislative requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
  • GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification AND 2 A’ Levels OR equivalent Qualification AND Eighteen months relevant experience supervising staff in a Procurement and Logistics environment
  • OR Three years relevant experience supervising staff in a Procurement and Logistics environment.
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
  • This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
  • PC Literacy, including regular experience and use of commercial software packages such as Microsoft Office or equivalent.
  • Full member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)/ Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent professional body.
